TRACKS!!!
We’re formalizing what we’ve always believed: we want everyone in buildspace. not just software or computer science people.
📱 Software track: apps, AI, web dev, systems, all the code-y things.
🤖 Hardware track: robotics, light shows, mechatronics, sensors, drones, etc. ( we are partnering up with the animation fund and a few other supporters to fund hardware tools for free !!)
💡 Creator track: film, photography, content creation, writing, crochet, art. we love our creators. ( INCLUDES 🧑🎨 design: motion graphics, industrial design, framer experiments etc. if you love making things usable, beautiful, & care about refining your own taste, this is for you.)
🥽 Extended reality track: AR/VR apps, immersive games, virtual worlds, mixed reality, and interactive 3D experiences. This new track is sponsored by XRA at UW. Apple Vision Pro and Quest 3 headsets, mentors, and other resources will be provided.
Tracks don’t change much about Buildspace. You’ll still all be in the same room, sharing the same community. The tracks just help us make sure everyone feels welcomed and supported, and ensure we intentionally allocate spots for a diverse group of people and ideas. Plus, we’re bringing in mentors for each track to help you get the most out of the buildspace experience. 😎
